School Years

ESGI test data is divided into school years. This allows the data that is collected on a student as a kindergartner to be separate from the data that is collected the following year in first grade.

ESGI adds the new school year to all accounts over the Memorial Day weekend. All Subject Tabs and Tests are copied from the previous school year to the new school year.

Between Memorial Day and middle of July, switching between school years is done to continue end-of-year testing, or make necessary edits to tests and subject tabs in the new school year. When making changes, it is important to edit in the new school year tab.

After the middle of July, all accounts will default to the new school year and the ability to test in the previous school year is disabled.

If you have used ESGI for more than one school year, data from the previous school year(s) can be accessed.

  1. Click the drop down arrow next to the School Year and select the desired school year and those tests and tabs will display on your Home Screen.
  2. The school year you selected will be the same school year when you log back in. A yellow “caution” icon will display next to the school year to remind you to switch to the current school year.
