The following widgets are available and fully customizable within our new ESGI Admin Dashboard:
Demographic Performance Widget
Students Needing Support Widget
You can make edits to the widgets which you have added to your dashboard (see our Admin Dashboard article to learn how to do this) by clicking the edit widget icon at the top left of the widget you wish to change
From the Edit Widget view, you can rename your widget by double clicking on the widget’s name field, typing your desired name, and then clicking “Save” Please note, customizing these titles is going to be very important as the dashboard fills up because it helps differentiate 1 widget or data set from another
Demographic Performance Widget
The Demographic Performance Widget shows the average performance across schools in % to gain insight into student performance clustered by Lunch Status, Race & Ethnicity, or Special Programs
This widget’s data can be represented as either boxplots or pie charts and can be displayed in the default view or full size view as seen below: Once you’ve clicked on and selected whether you would like for your data to be displayed as boxplots or as pie charts, you can click on the ”Demographic Group” dropdown menu and select your desired demographic Next, click on the ”Schools” dropdown and select which schools you would like to focus on (selected schools are indicated by the blue coloring). You also have the option to select/ deselect every school at once by clicking the ”Select All” button
Once you’ve chosen all your desired schools, click on the blue ”Select” button at the top right to apply your selections
Afterward, you can select your desired Content Areas, by clicking on the ”Content Areas” dropdown and selecting which Content Areas you would like to focus on
Once you’ve chosen all your desired Content Areas, click on the blue ”Select” button at the top right to apply your selections
Next, you’ll be able to select the Subject Tabs you would like to focus on by clicking on the “Subject Tabs” drop down and making your selections
Once you’ve chosen all your desired Subject Tabs, click on the blue ”Select” button at the top right to apply your selections
Lastly, you can select the Grade Levels you would like to focus on by clicking on the “Grade Levels” drop down and choosing the grades which you would like to include
Once you have finished selecting all your desired grade levels, click the blue “Select” button
Now that you’ve selected what areas you’d like for the widget to focus on, you can choose whether you want the information displayed as pie charts or boxplots
Pie Charts:
For Pie Charts, you are unable to select the single, two periods, or the two school options, but you still have the option to adjust the date range
By clicking on the Date Range drop down, you can select a past or current date range Please note, the Date Range will always default on Current Marking Period
Checking on the “Show Average” checkbox will allow for the average to be displayed on your pie chart widget. You can see an explanation about the average by hovering over the information icon on the right
Now that all your information and configurations have been filled out, click on the ”Save” button at the top right of the widget screen
Your widget will now display based off the settings and configurations you picked to focus on Please note, for items with multiple selections included, you’ll be able to see which items were picked by hovering over it
Box plots:
Editing Boxplots lets you see the average and focus on all the same fields as the Pie Charts, while also allowing you to select the single, two periods, or the two school options. Additionally, you have the option to highlight the candles If you select multiple periods, you will have the option to change the colors of the date ranges to tell them apart
When selecting the date range, you will have options of past and current date ranges, or you can select input your own custom range

Once all your configurations have been selected, click on the “Save” button at the top right of the widget
Once saved, your boxplot widget will be displayed. The average score will be represented by the blue line going across the widget and the medians are represented by the dot on the center of each boxplot
Clicking on a boxplot will show you the four quartiles associated with it
